My girlfriend is so perfect. I’m such a lucky guy!

Just talk to them and carry on a conversation with them as if they were a friend, it’s not that hard to do after awhile. That pretty much relaxes them and allows you to get better expressions from them. I’ll generally ask whoever I’m shooting about themselves and then if there’s some common interest between us, I’ll talk about that more. If not, no biggie, just talk about something else. You can even just talk about the weather haha. Anything works.
Thanks man! That’s awesome! I’ve never really had a problem with friends wanting to model for me. If for some reason they weren’t wanting to do it then I just would leave it at that because you don’t want to shoot someone who doesn’t want their picture taken in the first place. As far as friends of friends goes, they would either come to me which made it easy or I would just send them a message later on and just explain what I had in mind and see if they were interested. If they were then rad, but if not it was no big deal. I’ve sent a lot of random messages to people I don’t even know and now they’re some of my good friends. It’s pretty crazy how it works out that way.
So lame seeing some photographers, who blatantly copy other photographers’ work, get applauded for their “original” ideas. #igivenofuckstonight
Thank you! I shoot both but primarily digital. I shoot with a Canon 5d Mark II, Canon 35mm f/1.4L, Canon 50mm f/1.4 & Sigma 85mm f/1.4. I also have two film cameras; a Canon Élan 7 and a Canon AE-1.
I hope sooner than later so I can see you, Ms. Black, the Phaminator and Mr. Raiden again :D
Thanks!! That’s awesome! I generally like to use Kodak Portra 400 or Fuji 400H.
Jordan freaking Voth, I am crazy about you.
Boy has me smiling from 3,000 miles away.
The feeling is mutual, love.
Thank you! Nope, I’m from Seattle, WA. Though, most of my extended family lives in Oregon and my parents have property in Cannon Beach so I’m down there fairly often.
